Summary
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomhas been home to plenty of strange and helpful fan creations, and one player is showing off their unique machine that helps Link clear enemies off the bridges of Hyrule.Tears of the Kingdomis one of the most successfulZeldaentries of all time in terms of sales and critical acclaim, and part of that stems from the way it builds off the open-world framework of 2017’sBreath of the Wildwith a surprisingly in-depth crafting mechanic that lets players build virtually anything they can imagine.
This has led to a wave of impressive fan creations in the months sinceThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomlaunched on the Nintendo Switch, withLink utilizing these inventiveZeldacommunity creationsin his quest to free the land of Hyrule from the dark forces that threaten it. So far, Link has been shown blasting foes away with a remote-powered cannon, swatting them with some sort of hockey-inspired battle machine, and speeding to his next sidequest in a makeshift pickup truck. OneTears of the Kingdomplayer even put together a massive rolling vehicle using a large chunk of bridge.

Another Reddit user by the handle of LongjumpingFrame1771 is instead using theirLegend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomcrafting skillsto clean the bridges of Hyrule, as shown in a video clip posted on r/HyruleEngineering. Built from one of the stone seesaws in the Wao-os shrine and some makeshift rocket thrusters, this impromptu bridge sweeper can be aimed using Link’s Ultrahand power and launched at enemies by firing an arrow at it. Once it’s unleashed, it shoots forward and knocks away any foes in its path, as the unlucky squad of enemies in LongjumpingFrame1771’s video soon discovers.
Link’s New Bridge Sweeper Cleans Up Hyrule In Tears of the Kingdom
Many have praised LongjumpingFrame1771’s machine in the comments section for doing just what its name implies: sweeping up enemies who gather onTears of the Kingdom’s many stone bridges. One Reddit user in particular points out that this machine would only work by using a glitched seesaw from the Was-os shrine, which phases through walls and the ground while colliding with enemies. This user had attempted to create their own bridge sweeper using regular slabs, only for it to knock against the bridge and veer off-course, only taking out a few enemies as a result.
It seems LongjumpingFrame1771 has figured out how to craft a better bridge sweeper by using a glitch to ensure that the weapon only collides with the creatures in its path. The resulting spectacle ofTears of the Kingdom’s Bokoblinsor any other enemies being sent flying off the bridge that they had set out to conquer is a humorous and entertaining sight to see. In addition, it is another fine example of howThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomgrants its players a vast amount of freedom to explore its open world and create whatever they can dream up.
