InXenoblade Chronicles 2it’s easy to assume Tora’s lack of available blades would make him one of the weaker party members, but the three blades actually available to him are some of the strongest and most customizable in the game. Poppi, Poppi QT, and Poppi QT Pi, are the three forms of Poppi, Tora’s immensely strong artificial blade, and this guide will explain how to unlock her easily missed third form: Poppi QT Pi.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2is an action RPG developed by Monolith Soft and published by Nintendo. Set in Alrest, where people live atop Titans swimming in the Cloud Sea, the story follows a salvager named Rex as a big job goes sideways, and he becomes the Driver of the legendary blade known as the “Aegis.” With his new blade, Pyra, he sets out to find a way to reach the World Tree and scale it to find the lost paradise of Elysium.

Powered-Up Poppi - How To Start The Quest

In order to begin the quest to unlock Poppi QT Pi, players must first begin scaling the World Tree. Once players enter the Elevator at “Megaflote Base” in the Land of Morytha andascend to the first section of the World Tree, the quest is unlocked. Powered-Up Poppi is acquired by visiting Tora’s house in Gormott and speaking with his dadapon, Tatazo.

Professor Tatazo and Tora spend some time discussing ways to upgrade Poppi, and eventually the group is tasked with heading to Temperantia to collect 10 golden cogs.

Collecting The Parts For QT Pi

Acquiring 10 Golden Cogs in Temperantiais most easily achieved by salvaging at Battlescar Cove, Dalnes Stone, or Triedge Isle. These three locations will yield golden cogs regularly, though using higher quality Cylinders will help to find them more quickly and in greater numbers. Blades with the Salvage Mastery skill can be useful for improving the items obtained from salvage points. After getting these and returning to Professor Tatazo, the group will be given a much longer shopping list of parts to complete. These can be acquired in any order.

5 Cubic Diamonds

These can most easily be found in Mor Ardain, though they can also appear in the Leftherian Archipelago. One easy place to find them is at the collection point found up the stairs at the Ruined Labourer Bridge in Mor Ardain. Any Collection point that gives ore in Mor Ardain and Leftheria could potentially yield this item, and bringing blades with the Mineralogy skill will increase the chances of getting them.

12 Ambler Stigmas

These can be found in the Land of Morythafrom collection points that give flowers. The easiest set of collection points for finding these are the five between Ancient People’s Driftland and the Blocked Road. There’s also one at the bottom of the Collapsed Roadway, to the left of the Fallen Skyscraper, and to the left of Megaflote Base. Blades with the Botany skill will help with collecting them.

Genbu-Weave Cloth

This item is probably the easiest to locate, since it can be purchased in Tantal from Boldarde Textiles for 3,600G.

Poppi Goes To University

After acquiring all three items, players can return to Lila at Tora’s House to report in, and then speak to Professor Tatazo to hear his plan for Poppi to take some University Classes.

Head to Goldmouth to find Fleecyflossy on the Flight Deck and start the lesson. First players will need to bring Blades with the Forestry skill at a combined level of 5 in order to decode the information on the blackboard, and then determine which Ardainian Soldier posed and which Nopon is a Merchant. The correct answers here are “Kalukalu” and “Beltran.”

Xenoblade 2 Rex Shock

The next step of Poppi’s education requires 3 levels of Ancient Wisdom to complete, which shouldn’t be an issue if Dromarch’s affinity chart has reached level 5. After this Fleecyflossy asks Poppi totake down the level 50 Torl Marlin as a final test, which isn’t terribly difficult though it does deal spike damage when below 50% health and can inflict blowdown.

With Poppi’s education complete players need only return to Professor Tatazo for the final step of the quest.

Powering Up Poppi

In order to complete the upgrade, players will need to fill up the charging device in Tora’s House. The most efficient item for this is the 50 Volt battery, which fills the device by 30 points per battery. The other items only increase it by 1, with the exception of screw coils which raise it by 2 instead. Thus, the best way to handle this is to acquire the batteries, which are given by the Mercenary Mission “Energy for Remodelling.” The mission can be repeated multiple times to acquire more 50 volt batteries, and requires the following:

The quest takes 30 minutes, but this can be reduced down to 7 minutes by sending blades with Industry Mastery, Mineralogy, and Mental Arithmetic field skills.

Poppi QT Pi

With the power supplied,Poppi QT Pi is complete at last.
