XDefiantintroduces a hectic and fast-paced multiplayer experience for consoles and PCs. In the game, players not only have to focus on gunplay but also have to understand how the abilities and ultras of each faction work. As players can not rely only on their aim to win matches, this increases the skill ceiling of the game and makes it much more enjoyable.

How To Use Mag Barrier In XDefiant
Mag Barrieris on the Active Abilities that thePhantomsFaction can use. However, to do this, you must first get into a Ranked or Unranked game inXDefiant. Once the match starts, you will have the option toselect a Factionfollowed up by choosing one of the two Active Abilities. The first option isthe Blitz Shield, which can be a great offensive and defensive tool, and the second option is the Mag Barrier. To activate this ability in the game, you must press L1 or LB on yourPlayStationorXbox, respectively. For PC players, pressing E should do the trick.
When pressing the place button, you will be able to see a highlighted spot where your character can place it. The barrier is not indestructible, as once the durability runs out, the barrier will go away. Even if the durability does not run out, it can only stay up for 10 seconds before going on a 30-second cooldown.
How To Block Damage & Challenge Rewards
The Mag Barrier is not only great as a means of cover but allows your allies and yourself to shoot through the barrier, giving you the edge over your opponents. The Barrier placement is key in order to provide great value to you and your team. In-game modes like Occupy and Zone Control, you can place the barrier on the Zones, shooting the enemies relentlessly and driving them away. Any shots fired at the Mag Barrier are absorbed/blocked and drain away the barrier’s durability. The video below shows the use of Mag Barrier in multiple situations.
After blocking 10,000 damage with the Mag Barrier, you will unlockGorgon, who is also a member of the Phantoms.
