The Tier Set bonuses were revealed in a thread on theBlizzard forums forWorld of Warcraft: Dragonflight’sbeta. According to Blizzard, the Tier Set bonuses in this patch will be simpler than previous ones, such asthose fromShadowlands’Eternity’s Endpatch. This is largely becauseWorld of Warcraftis reintroducing the Talent Tree system inDragonflight. This results in the Tier Set bonuses primarily modifying core class abilities and early talents, rather than capstone abilities which would shoehorn players into certain builds.World of Warcrafthopes this will allow players to experiment with the new talent trees to create and master their personal build.
The newWorld of WarcraftTier Sets will be playable from the next beta build, and can be acquired by speaking with Setzertauren, one of the many beta vendor NPCs in Stormwind and Orgrimmar. The Tier Sets will likely be available for testing on endgame realms until the beta ends nearthe launch ofDragonflighton November 28. It is possible players may be able to experiment with the Tier Sets inWorld of Warcraft’sPublic Test Realm later on, but those without beta access may have to wait until the expansion goes live to collect them.
Players were excited to seeWorld of Warcraft’snew Tier Set bonuses. Tier Sets have been some of the most exciting and coveted items inWorld of Warcrafthistory. Most players were glad to see the iconic Tier Sets return inShadowlandsafter a brief retirement, and are pleased to see them stick around inDragonflight.
That said, many players are underwhelmed by this particular collection of Tier Set bonuses. Theyagree withWorld of Warcraft’sassessment, saying the simpleDragonflightTier Set bonuses are boring and uninspired. While previous Tier Sets sometimes changed how an entire build plays, most of theDragonflightTier Sets provide stat bonuses or simple interactions. Hopefully such a simple Tier Set will allowWorld of Warcraftto balance the bonuses well and get players used to the new Talent Trees so it can make more complex Tier Sets in future patches and expansions.
