World of Warcraft: Dragonflightis about to launch Vault of the Incarnates, its inaugural raid and the final confrontation with Raszageth, who seems to have gotten significant buffs in the latest batch of hotfixes. Players have had a chance to square off against theStorm-Eater inWorld of Warcraft: Dragonflight, and though she has established herself as credible threat, Raszageth’s boss encounter largely remains a mystery. It was never publicly tested on theDragonflightbeta, meaning that raid groups only have her boss journal page to work with.
No one knows what to expect from Raszageth at the end of the raid, as Vault of the Incarnates still has encrypted files that only open upon her defeat. One thing thatWorld of Warcraftplayers should be prepared for, if the newly datamined numbers are taken under consideration, is to face a version of Raszageth even stronger than what Blizzard originally intended.

Wowhead, the famousWorld of Warcraftdatamining website, was the first to notice the change. Curiously, it seems that Eranog is receiving a 20% nerf to his Burning Wounds ability, making the tank swapping and tank healing a lot easier. As the first boss in the newWorld of Warcraftraid, the changes to Eranog should make Vault of the Incarnates a bit more accessible to players from the get-go. On the completely opposite end of the spectrum, Raszageth is seeing a major increase to her damage across the board.
Spells such as Electric Scales will now deal 33% more damage, as many of Raszageth’s abilities feel almost over-tuned compared to their original values. The full list of affected abilities for the final boss in Vault of the Incarnates is as follows:
While it may well be that internal testing for Vault of the Incarnates made Blizzard realize that Raszageth was grossly under-tuned compared to the other fights in the raid, signs point that the ancient proto-drake will prove to be a formidable encounter as far asWorld of Warcraftfinal bossesgo. As the top guilds in the world prepare to take down the Storm-Eater, Season 1 ofDragonflightis shaping up to be an exciting start to the expansions many believe can setWorld of Warcraftback on the right path.
Dragonflight’s raid bosses weren’t the only ones that fell prey to Blizzard’s stat tuning, as classes such as Hunter and Mage were given significant buffs in therecentWorld of Warcraftbalance changes. Vault of the Incarnates opens its doors on December 12, asDragonflight’s new loot system and new class will finally be put to the test.
