An interestingCall of Duty: Warzoneleak has surfaced recently which adds to the idea that Zombies may be headed forWarzone.An impending Zombies based game mode has been requested by the game’s community for quite awhile, with leaks and hints slowly seeping into the discussion. While there has been no formal confirmation, fans are still hopeful at some battle royale undead fun.
It would not be impossible toadd Zombies intoWarzoneas fans have seen two great applications inBlack Ops 4for that exact concept. While the AI zombies may do little more than simply stick to their zone inBlack Ops 4’s Blackout,Warzonerumors suggest that players will be able to become zombies and hunt down players.

Although the leak did not bring visual confirmation, several voice clips have been data-mined and shared by Reddit user xShadowZ199. The clips are small but fit the theme ofWarzonefairly well. While the first few clips are simple announcer changes withreferences to a “Zombie Royale,“the later clips give fans more detail into possible features of the “Zombie Royale.” One interesting warning that is repeated several times is the fact that the zombies are immune to the gas. The voice clips do affirm that the zombies do get stronger while standing in the gas clouds, with later clips warning players that they should probably avoid the gas entirely. There is a reference to an extraction helicopter that players have to defend, and some varying voice lines for success and failure at the mission itself.
Around halfway through the voice clips the theme changes as the announcer confirms that Players will be acting as the zombies in this new mode. Notifications that zombie teammates are being killed and revive systems at buy stations for the undead give agood look into what ZombieWarzonemay include for zombie players.
One interesting zombie quote is the phrase “You have regained your humanity,” which appears to suggest that players can switch back to the Human team after being killed andturned into a zombie. To regain humanity players must consume the flesh of the dead and eventually become a part of the human team once again.
References to zombie powers and even a few Easter Egg clips were buried among the sound files. Although this leak has not been confirmed, it does give some interesting information about a possible upcomingZombiesWarzonemode. October is just around the corner making for the perfect spooky month to bring about a long-request zombie game mode.
