AValheimplayer shows off their jaw-dropping water fortress that appears impenetrable from invading mobs and would be a true challenge for other players. Given the physics ofValheimthat destroys things that don’t snap together properly, water is a difficult surface to place structures, but that didn’t stop this player from incorporating an inlet into their build.

There are many areas ofValheimthat players can build bases on, with the Meadows, Plains, and Mountain among the top locations.Valheimcontinues to be updatedwith content through Steam early access and Xbox Game Preview which suggests that it will be expanded upon further as Iron Gate Studios prepares it for a full launch. Carefully utilizing the build capabilities ofValheim, potentially in the recent update that brought a twist on creative mode to the game, one player has made what may be the best water base in the game.

Reddit user Scarisck recently shared two images of theirValheimwater base from different angles, highlighting the detail from an aerial view. The water base has several flower petal-like tips that move along the water line, while similarly tipped inner stone walls provide some height that would benefit the player if enemies somehow managed to destroy the outer walls and move across the water. Because water typically drains thestamina ofValheimplayers, this impressive base doesn’t only stand a better chance than a standard Meadow one against the spawned enemies, but against players as well.

With a couple of buildings connected to a central city-like part of theValheimbuild, the player would be able to retreat to an entirely separate structure if enemies were able to capture the main portion. There are two bridges leading in different directions to a small patch of land turned into what resembles the world-generatedValheimvillages that players may come across in their adventures. A port is emphasized by multiple boats in one corner of Scarisck’s base which is close to the ocean exit, allowing them to quickly make it toValheim’s swamp biomewhenever necessary.

According to Scarisck, the incredible water base was created in the public test realm utilizing thecreativeValheimHammer modeand has suggested that it took five evenings to complete even with the advantages. Given that the base was made in Hammer mode, it’s unlikely that the structure will ever face true threats like powerful mobs or enemy players trying to break the walls down to defeat Scarisck.

Valheimis available now for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
