Almost six months after its launch,Disney Dreamlight Valleywill be improving its in-game storage functionality according to the developers. An update to the game’s storage system has been a requested feature by many players for a while. Now Gameloft will finally make that change toDisney Dreamlight Valley.The life simulation title has been a hit for the studio since its release in August 2022.Disney Dreamlight Valley’s community stats for 2022showcased that players have tallied a whopping total of 76 million hours of play by the end of last year. This included players creating as many as 4.6 million custom designs, removing 930 million Night Thorns, and 232 billion Star Coins earned by Scrooge, indicating the level of engagementDisney Dreamlight Valleyhas garnered. WithinDisney Dreamlight Valley, each chest could only hold two rows of items, a total of sixteen items, which is challenging considering the numerous items for quests. Following a Twitter poll that gained 37,197 votes, the developers revealed that an update is on the way. The studio mentioned players can expect “some great storage quality of life improvements coming in Update 3.” Although Gameloft is yet to share specifics on what those improvements will look like for fans.

The studio has been actively working on improving the game over the course of its release. Alongside stability improvements andmultiple bug fixes forDisneyDreamlight Valley, players were also treated to newDisneycharacters like Scar and Stitch over the past couple of months, as well as an interesting Christmas update. Gameloft has already indicated that there will be more updates coming soon, which should come as welcome news for those who were waiting for new content.

Either way, Gameloft will look to keep its fanbase engaged with its increasing slate of characters, cosmetic items, and quests to name a few. The much-awaited change to its storage system indicates that Gameloft is putting an equal amount of effort intoDisney Dreamlight Valley’s quality-of-life improvements as well. Of course, the studio could get more ambitious with its changes in the months to come, such as tweakinghowDisneyDreamlight Valleyhandles time travel. But for now, it appears Gameloft is mostly focused on building on player feedback and keeping fans guessing what to expect from the life simulator hit.
