Popular content creator Fedmyster has been banned for the second time onTwitchafter receiving a DMCA takedown notice.Fedmyster is no stranger to controversyas he was banned several times during the course of his illustrious career.Fedmyster started gaining popularity as a member of the streaming group OfflineTV, after joining in 2017. Fedmyster is well-known for his amusing and entertaining streams, as well as his collaborations with other famous content creators from the gaming and entertainment communities. Unfortunately, controversy is nothing new for the Twitch streamer as in June 2020, some OfflineTV members, including fellow streamer Pokimane, accused him of acting inappropriately toward them. The allegations sparked a discussion about sexual harassment in the gaming and streaming communities, andFedmyster was banned from OfflineTVas a result.RELATED:Hogwarts Legacy Streamer Brought to Tears After Twitch Chat HarassmentAlmost three years later, Fedmyster found himself banned again, this time on Twitch. The people who watched Fedmyster’s February 12 Twitch stream claimed that he was pretending to be playing the American football video gameMadden 23withan Xbox controller, while he was actually illegally streaming the latest Super Bowl event on his broadcast. Apparently, the content creator was also banning the viewers who threatened to report him for streaming the game without permission. The information was initially posted on Twitter by StreamerBans, a bot account created to monitor Twitch suspensions.

The Super Bowl is one of the most watched events in the world, as millions of viewers tune in each year to witness the biggest game of the year. Fedmyster likely decided to capitalize on the event’s popularity by illegally streaming it, after seeing this as an opportunity to get more followers on his Twitch account. Fedmyster more than certainly took inspiration from Lester_Gaming, who was another streamer who became relevant after illegally broadcasting a UFC pay-per-view event on Twitch while pretending that he was playing a UFC video game, back in 2017.

The internet community has quickly reacted to the event with multiple commenters mocking theTwitchstreamer for his foolish stunt. However, his fans are hopeful that he won’t get a permanent ban.

Sadly for the LA-based streamer, this wasn’t the first time he had been banned on Twitch. Last year in April,Fedmyster found himself the victim of a crypto-based scam, after his account was hacked and two pre-recorded videos were streamed on his channel. His first ban only lasted for a total of 8 days. However, this time, his misconduct could result in a lifetime ban from the platform.
