Fans are eagerly waiting for Matt Reeves’The Batmanto arrive, analyzing and holding on to any piece of footage or image revealed by Warner Bros. The director has now started a whole new conversation by offering a tease in the form of a Riddler-inspired motion poster featuring Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader.

Pattinson’sThe Batmanwill bring forward a new version of the hero, which will be quite different fromBen Affleck’s version of the Dark Knight. Fans will get to see the vigilante in his early days of fighting crime and facing one of his arch nemesis the Riddler, portrayed by Paul Dano. The two characters unite in the new motion poster revealed by director Reeves.

On his official Twitter account, Reeves shared the new motion poster, whichreveals Pattinson’s Batmanengulfed in a red hue. Along his profile’s outline slowly appears a bright red question mark, the iconic Riddler insignia, along with some mysterious symbols. The poster acts as a teaser for what’s to come and sets a haunting tone for the eventual confrontation between the two adversaries.

The Batmanis one of the most anticipated films for the year 2022. It will see the fan-favorite character “striking fear into the hearts of criminals.” With very few trusted allies, includingAndy Serkis' Alfred Pennyworthand Jeffrey Wright’s Lt. James Gordon, Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne will establish himself as “the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens.”

As part ofThe Batman’s plot, Dano’s Edward Nashton, a.k.a. the Riddler, is not the only enemy that Pattinson’s Batman will encounter. He will be facing some other villains from the comics, including Zoë Kravitz’s Selina Kyle (a.k.a. Catwoman), Colin Farrell’s Oswald Cobblepot (a.k.a the Penguin), and John Turturro’s Carmine Falcone.

Apart from the cool motion poster, fans oftheBatmanfranchiseare talking about a website that they have pondered across, which is bending minds. Rataalada.com is a new interactive game that allows fans to answer simple riddles and promises a surprise if they get three of them right. The riddles, which are posed by the Riddler, appear on the screen in a simple DOS-like computer screen and include simple questions, like “I can be easy or a dead end. Careful when you cross me." Fans united on Twitter to crack the code.

The Batmanis scheduled to premiere in theaters on July 15, 2025.
