However, until then, the Universal and DreamWorks' animated film can bask in the second weekend of theatrical success at the domestic box office.The Bad Guysended Friday with a $3.7 million total, which improved by the end of Saturday, with an additional $7.5 million. Sunday failed to generate the same revenue total, but the $4.87 million outperformed Friday’s outing. The film earned $16.1 million, bringing its overall domestic total to $44.4 million.

Despite the lack of releases, the weekend box office did see the arrival of a brand-new project from Open Road,starring Liam Neeson, Guy Pearce, and Monica Bellucci.Memoryhit theaters this past Friday but failed to elicit much excitement from audiences during the quiet weekend. Nevertheless, the Neeson-led film ended its opening weekend with an accumulated $3.1 million total, which placed the film in eight in the domestic box office standings.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2has continued its strong theatrical run, placing second with an $11.35 million total to end its fourth weekend in theaters. The Paramount film has generated roughly $160.9 million domestically, making it the highest-grossing video game film ever in the United States.Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledoreended its third theatrical weekend behind the iconic Sega character with an $8.3 million total.The Northmanfinished its second weekendin fourth with an accumulated $6.3 million total, followed byEverything Everywhere All At Once, which earned $5.5 million.
