A new trailer forTekken 8highlights the dreaded Kazuya Mishima and his brutal martial arts move set. Fans of the long-runningTekkenseries waited anxiously for news of the latest installment following 2015’sTekken 7, and they finally received confirmation thatTekken 8is on the way during the PlayStation State of Play on June 24, 2025. Before that, a brief teaser for the game was shown at the end of theTekken 7tournament at EVO 2022, with Kazuya Mishima himself grinning ominously at viewers to herald the upcomingTekken 8.
Kazuya Mishima’s presence inTekken 8was almost an inevitability, as the ruthless warrior has been a major playable character since the originalTekkenin 1994. In theTekkengames that followed, Kazuya has alternated between antihero and outright villain as he was put into constant conflict withother immortalTekkencharacterslike his father, Heihachi Mishima, and his son, Jin Kazama.

A new gameplay trailer forTekken 8was released earlier this week, featuring Kazuya Mishima in a fierce battle against Jin Kazuya in a busy city street. During this fight, viewers can see Kazuya’s move set in action as he delivers brutal punches, kicks, and combo moves. His sinister Devil Gene form can also be seen during certain attacks, including a devastating Special Move that he uses to finish Jin off.
This Kayzua-centric trailer is just the latest in a series ofTekken 8videos. Just a few weeks ago,Tekken 8revealed gameplay for Nina Williamsand announced that a closed beta for the game will be held in select countries in the near future. Publisher Bandai Namco has also promised thatTekken 8will feature brand-new stage destruction and Heat System mechanics, which will supposedly makeTekken’s intense battles more aggressive than ever before.
Very few characters represent this aggression and intensity quite like Kayuza Mishima, and now eagerTekkenfans have a better look at his move set for the forthcomingTekken 8. Kazyuza’s presence asa playable character inTekken 8might not be all that surprising, but seeing the morally complex face of theTekkenfranchise take to the battlefield once more serves as an exciting look into what fans can expect whenTekken 8releases sometime next year.
