Yamagiwa revealed thatWo Longcarries the same quest-based structure and linear levels that theNiohseries is known for. Each stage contains a multitude of routes, so players may have a slightly different experience from one another within a stage. Additionally,Wo Long: Fallen Dynastyintroduces jumpinginto theNiohformula to enhance exploration within the stages. As a result, players can expect larger and more vertical stages compared to the priorNiohtitles.

Wo Longwill take roughly 40 hours to complete according to Yamagiwa. Playtime may vary for each player due to a variety of side content and challenges found in the game. Yamagiwa did not announce a release date forWo Long. However, the game will be playable at Koei Tecmo’s booth during Tokyo Game Show 2022, which begins on September 15.
