While gems are not exactly given to players at the start of the game, they can be really helpful to boost certain stats if used properly. Gems can even be combined to create stronger gems, and upgradeplayers' summoner characterswhen leveling normally is a difficult option. This guide will show players where andhow to combine gems to get ahead in the game.
How To Get Gems And What They Do
Gems offer extra bonuses, such as increases to health points or other stats, that can be attached to weapons and equipment. Weapons can be upgraded on their own through various levels, similarto other MMORPG games, but gems provide even more bonuses on top of just upgrades.
Although, equipping gems requires weapons that contain gem slots. Not every weapon will come with slots, but can drop more easily the farther into the game players will go. The gem slots are also color-coded, so not every gem can be used with the appropriate weapon.
Gems can be crafted at the Processing Table found in any village by combining three of the same minerals, such as opal or zircon, and paying a little gold. Minerals can be foundaround the land through farming. These gems can also be combined to make different rarities of Handwork Gems, though that requires an Alchemy table also located in any village.
How To Combine Gems
Combining gems is a fairly straightforward process, but there are a few requirements before players can get crafting. While players can attach gems to weapons on their own, it requires a specific merchant to combine or unequipped gems from weapons. The special merchant is known as Henry the Handworker, and can be found in any of the villages within the game: Ayah, Casslan, Flurence, Rudelin, Rukurangma, and Tesca.
Once in the village, select the Handworker option from the list in the upper left corner where the map would normally be to automatically travel to Henry. He can help players unequip gems from weapons if they have completed the Act 4 Chapter 6 Snow Mountain quest, and can combine gems after clearing the Act 5 Chapter 26 The Rally quest. Players may need some of thegame’s best monstersto progress that far quickly.
Selecting Combine Gems will bring players to a menu with a list all available gems in their inventory and three slots to place them in. Select three gems that are of the same level, and the center symbol will give the success rate for the combination. Choose the Combine button to complete the transaction. It will require a certain amount of gold for the combination to go through, but will be shown as gems are being selected.
