Mantis Puzzle Location
Players can access the Mantis Puzzle in the basement of the Secret Outpost on planet Denebola I-b. To find this location, they will first need to read the “Secret Outpost” note that some Spacers drop. After that, they musttravel to the Denebola star systemand defeat the enemies to reach the basement.
Mantis Puzzle Solution
To solve the Mantis Puzzle, players muststep on the pressure plates to spell out the word “Tyrannis.“They should begin by stepping on the plate marked with the letter T, followed by the plates in the following sequence: Y, R, A, N, N, I, S.
Players discover the code for the Mantis Puzzle whileexploring the Secret Outpostand listening to recordings. More specifically, a voice message titled “Leon Voclaine - Sic Semper Tyrannis” highlights the importance of the word “Tyrannis” in the Mantis’s life, suggesting that it’s the actual password for the booby trap.
Alternative Ways for Solving the Mantis Puzzle
In addition to the plate pressure solution, players have alternative methods to solve the Mantis Puzzle, includinghacking into the nearby computer or bypassing the traps through jumping. Hacking into the systems necessitates aSecurity skill of Rank 3, as the traps are safeguarded by a Master Lock. On the other hand, successfully bypassing the traps requires players towear resilient armor suits, as the turrets can quickly incapacitate them.
Mantis Puzzle Rewards
Solving the Mantis Puzzle rewards players with the Legendary Mantis Suit and the Razorleaf spaceship. To get these items, players will need to follow the mission marks inside the Secret Outpost and take out all enemies, including Spacers and robots.
Note thatthe Razorleaf starshipis inactive. To bring it to the surface and make it operational, players will first need to activate it by pressing the button next to the starship.
