According to Nintendo Everything, update data forStar Wars: Republic Commandohas been uploaded to Nintendo servers, with media company Aspyr listed as the publisher. Aspyr has already brought otherStar Warsgames likeJedi OutcastandEpisode 1 Racerto the Switch, so it makes sense the company could be working onRepublic Commandotoo. Aspyr has been part of a recent wave of companies acquired by Swedish companyEmbracer Group, which also recently merged with Gearbox Studios.
Neither Nintendo nor Aspyr have officially said thatStar Wars: Republic Commandowill be released for Switch, but game data updates in the past have led to leaks of games such asFortniteandPaladins.Fortnitereleased for Switchon July 15, 2025, less than two weeks after the update data was uploaded to Nintendo’s servers. While there is no guaranteeRepublic Commandowill be ready that quickly, the leak allows for a fair argument that the game is coming sooner rather than later.
