Star Wars Jedi: Survivorhas got at least a few more secrets, it would appear, as a player has discovered that ziplines have an entire additional layer of functionality that many people might not be aware of. Having launched on April 28,Survivorhad a rough time at first due to performance issues on various devices. Still, its quality did shine through regardless, and players have been enjoying the game following a series of updates.
It was already curious when players discovered thatJedi: Survivoroffers unique sequence-breaking opportunitiesin some situations. Now, however, it’s been revealed that there are at least a few additional features that the game never communicates to the player, and it’s unclear whether this is deliberate or not.

Notably, Reddit user romulus531 has pointed out that ziplines inStar Wars Jedi: Survivorcan be traversed faster or slower than the default speed. BD-1 can boost Cal on ziplines with his turbo functionality, which is available by hitting the right gamepad trigger. Alternatively, BD-1 can also slow Cal down if needed by using his brakes, which are available by hitting the left gamepad trigger. This gives players a whole array of new mobility options on ziplines, making them much easier to leverage in and out of combat.
In the Reddit thread, romulus531 admitted that they completed the game before discovering BD-1’s zipline features. Since the game never even mentions them, though, odds are good that this is the case with the vast majority of players. The good news, though, is thatStar Wars Jedi: Survivor’s New Game Plusis ready to go as soon as the player completes the game, with unlocks and combat progression from their previous run-through, of course.
Cal’s trusty sidekick was already a remarkably useful companion on his journey, but with the hidden zipline features revealed, BD-1’s bound to become even more popular as time goes on. It’s good news, then, that players can unlock heaps ofcustomization options for BD-1 inJedi: Survivor, should they choose to do so.
It’s not all good news, however.Star Wars Jedi: Survivorhas a new game-breaking bugthat popped up recently, and it can lead to instances of permanently locked progression during a certain boss fight. Without EA and Respawn intervening, this issue may well end up plaguing a substantial number of players, and it’s a shame that such a remarkable experience is marred by such a huge list of technical issues.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivoris available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
