Splatoon 3 Update Launches in Time for Sizzle Season 2024
Splatoon 3’s update adds new main weapons, such as the Wellstring V, a stringer that fires five ink shots at once, and the Mint Decavitator, a Splatana with a wide horizontal attack range for its charged swipe. Players can get these and several other new weapons in the shops at the start of Sizzle Season 2024. Some main weapons have been buffed. The Sploosh-o-matic’s damage dealt to the Splash Wall has been increased by about 10%, the Inkbrush’s damage dealt by ink from swinging the brush to the Splash Wall has been increased by about 10%, and the L-3 Nozzlenose’s maximum damage has been increased from 29.0 to 31.0.
Splatoon 3also addressed an important housekeeping change: it added Friend-Request Harassment to the options players can select when reporting users after battles or jobs. Players can report other players who use inappropriate language when sending a friend request or other harassing behaviors. Nintendo emphasizes that any offensive, harassing, threatening, discriminatory, or abusive behavior toward others is prohibited by its Community Guidelines and may result in a ban from the game.
Splatoon 3is slowly approaching the end of its two years of game support. However, it continues adding new content, new events, and balance updates. Nintendo hasn’t shared any details on when it will stop releasing updates or adding new content. Perhaps the gaming company is busyfocusing on the Switch 2, which also has no known release date. Regardless,Splatoon 3updates keep coming, and players will gladly take them. TheSplatoon 3team says the next update will focus on changes to the balance of battles and plans to launch the update during the middle of Sizzle Season 2024.
