Even though E3 is just a few weeks away, developers and publishers seem to be celebrating the event a little bit early, as there are tons of different gaming events and livestreams happening this week, specifically today, May 27. There areSonicannouncements inbound,Dragon Questhad a livestream this morning, and there’s a brand-newPlayStation State of Playevent that will show off 14 minutes ofHorizon Forbidden Westgameplay, which is the sequel to one of Sony’s major first-party titles.

PlayStation’s State of Play Start Time

The latestState of Play event for May of 2021 will begin todayat 2 PM PT / 3 PM MT / 4 PM CT / 5 PM ET / 10 PM BST / 11 PM CEST. The entire event will be a total of 20 minutes, andHorizon Forbidden Westgameplay will take up 14 minutes of that time. Fans can expect the other 5 or so minutes to involve the development team talking about the game and how the development process has been going. There could also be a surprise or two during the show as well that people aren’t expecting.

There will also be a special pre-show countdown that fans can tune into before the event actually start. The State of Play pre-show will start at 9 AM PDT / 10 AM MT / 11 AM CT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST / 6 PM CEST.

For theHorizon Zero Dawnfans that are looking forward to the first gameplay reveal ofHorizon Forbidden Westcan watch the live stream via PlayStation’s official YouTube channel, which is embedded down below. With almost 15 minutes planned for exclusivegameplay starring Aloy, there should be a lot for fans to discover.

Sony has been tight-lipped on what people can actually expect from the show, like a release date for example. It’s been confirmed that the game is set to launch sometime this year, but it’s not clear on when exactly that will be.Besides Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Sony’s AAA lineup for the rest of the year is surprisingly lacking so far. AlthoughSony is skipping E3 again this year, there could still be a chance for the company to put out another State of Play around E3 time, giving fans information on upcoming titles for the rest of the year.
