AModern Warfare 2player in the Reddit community noticed that the secret inspect animation forthe 9mm Daemon akimbo pistolsis nearly identical to the pose that Christian Bale performed in theEquilibriummovie. In this sci-fi film, Bale plays an enforcement officer who is well-trained in gun kata, a martial art that combines gunfighting with kung fu. The player demonstrates the secret animation in order to compare it with Christian Bale’s performance in the film, and players noted the striking resemblance right away. The akimbo pistols are positioned in a similar angle, but the perspective is different due to the player being the one to directly initiate the gun kata stance. For example, the idle animation places the akimbo pistol in front of the player’s face, whereas Bale holds the stance near his waistline.

TheEquilibriumreference does not seem to impress some fans due to the 9mm Daemon akimbo bug that previously affected the community’s experiences with the weapon inModern Warfare 2. This particular bug would prevent players from being able to enable the use of akimbo on the 9mm Daemon. Fortunately, an update was released on September 8 to fix the bug in bothModern Warfare 2andWarzone.

The 9mm Daemon may be unlocked by getting 15 operator headshots with pistols inModern Warfare 2or extracting the weapon inWarzone’sDMZ mode. After unlocking the 9mm Daemon and reaching weapon level 20, players may be able to watch the inspect animation with akimbo enabled. Those who unlock the weapon will also have access to it onceModern Warfare 3launches in a few months. What’s more, all unlocked armaments and camos will be readily available on launch day.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
