NetherRealm Studio’s 11th iteration of its hyper-violent fighting game is the first to be on PS5 and Xbox Series X. Several tweets from the Twitter account handle Ska’Vorah detail the leakedMortal Kombat 11information. Initially leaked to aMortal Kombatsubreddit, the new leak appears to stem from an internal email at NetherRealm Studios. In the email, gamers can read the developer’s plans for a third Kombat Pack reveal trailer featuring four new fighters.

The kombatants in question are none other than Havik, Sareena, Smoke, and DC’s Deathstroke. The messages go on to describe various fixes regarding different aspects of the previously mentioned characters. These include things such as lighting effects, fatality tweaks, and skin variant adjustments. In addition to that, the emails also include references to The Living Forest stage, Test Your Might tower, moreMortal Kombatmovie skinsand an Annihilation Sindel skin.

The Annihilation Sindel skin is actually fitting when considering the potential roster additions. Both Havik and Sareena haven’t been playable in any game since 2006’sMortal Kombat: Annihilation. As for Smoke, the character last showed up inRain’s hilarious Queen-referencing fatality. Although he appears human in the fatality, its unclear what form the former Lin Kuei assassin-turned-cyborg will take. The inclusion of Deathstroke, while unexpected, makes sense given that NetherRealm also produces theInjusticeseries. There is also no evidence of any sort of timeframe regarding the rumored Kombat Pack 3’s release window.

If this info turns out to be true, theMortal Kombatcommunity would likely go ballistic.MKfans have already been treated to a roster of 37, the franchises largest selection ever, and the supposed new Kombat Pack would boost those numbers even further. The DLC still doesn’t includeHalloween’sMichael Myers, rumored since Kombat Pack 2to be joining the game.

Mortal Kombatremains one of the most popular fighting games to this day, with a history stretching back several decades. Much like how otherMortal Kombatcharacters have changed over the years, it should be interesting to see how older characters like Havik and Sareena will (possibly) be updated for the current-gen.

Mortal Kombat 11is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
