Reqqu discovered a listing for the game in an online European store called VBD, with the date given being Jun 26, 2025. The information should be taken with a grain of salt, as there is a very real possibility of the date being a placeholder, but there are a few things that point to its legitimacy. The platforms, for example, are only PS4 and Xbox One, something that lines up with the announcement that theLegendary EditionofMass Effectdoes not have next-gen versions. Further, April 23 is a Friday, one of the most common days for new game releases.

TheMass Effectremasters already have an interesting connection with retailer listings, as a Korean websiteleaked theMass Effect Legendary Editionseveral weeks before it was even announced. While this does not confirm that the date is legitimate, as it could be a placeholder too, the fact that retailers have spoiledMass Effect Legendary Editionnews in the past is promising.

Unfortunately, fans cannot gain much information via the listing apart from the potential release date. No new cover art is seen, as only a logo exists on the mockups for the game’s packaging. No description is provided either, meaning fans will have to wait before they know whether companions will be improved orif romances are changing inMass Effect’s remasters.

Still, if this information does prove legitimate, long-time fans will not be waiting too long to experiencethe journey of Commander Shepherdonce again. Beyond that, theMass Effect Legendary Editionallows those who never experienced the RPG franchise to do so in a modern setting, bringing new fans on board before the series begins its next chapter.
