A major trailer reveal may be coming forDragon Age: Dreadwolf, as evidence has come to light that Electronic Arts is setting the stage for the game’s marketing to finally kick off in earnest. ThoughBioWare has preached transparency forDragon Age: Dreadwolf, seemingly in contrast to its approach withMass Effect: AndromedaandAnthem, it’s no secret that the community has been losing its patience over the slow trickling of news and cryptic teases centered around the game’s titular antagonist.

Interest in the saga has risen significantly since the successful release ofDragon Age: Absolution, and thegameplay leak ofDragon Age: Dreadwolfin February has been an exciting (albeit controversial) moment in the fandom’s feverish anticipation of official footage.Dreadwolfis seemingly doing away with being able to directly control companions, edging its gameplay closer to theMass Effectgames with aGod of Warspin. Animation quality has significantly improved across the board, the UI is sleek, and the infamous helmet hair of its predecessors has been replaced with glorious flowing locks. It’s a new direction for theDragon Agefranchise, and players are interested in knowing what it all means.

According to a post submitted on the officialDragon Agesubreddit by thrayonlosa, Electronic Arts has contacted Fandom about a potential partnership to help promote the nextDragon Agegame. The evidence to support the rumor rests on a user discussion between Saunt3D and Ursuul on the officialDragon AgeWiki. The partnership, as claimed by the wiki representative, will involve a visual redesign in anticipation of the game’s release date, as well as hosting theupcomingDragon Age: Dreadwolftraileron the wiki’s homepage.

As an administrator of theDragon AgeWiki, Ursuul hopes that the editor team’s input will be respected when it comes to the redesign, with the response from Saunt3D implying that the visual changes wouldn’t affect the wiki’s content before going on to state that it would likely be temporary. If this information is taken into consideration, many fans strongly believe that the new trailer forDragon Age: Dreadwolfwill drop either in late May or early June, likely in time for the Summer Game Fest hosted by Geoff Keighley on June 8.

Therelease date forDragon Age: Dreadwolfhas fans feeling less optimistic, however, despite the game aiming to make a late 2023 launch. The lack of any official information shown beyond concept art, teaser trailers, and blog posts makes players believe thatDragon Age: Dreadwolfwill ultimately be delayed by BioWare in the coming months, with the game realistically launching in early 2024 to avoid a rushed release. If the rumors are true,Dragon Agefans can expect an official deep dive into Tevinter really soon.
