Rick and Morty’svacations are almost over and the new mid-season trailer shows some new adventures the duo have coming their way for the final four outings of the show’s sixth season.
The lastRick and Mortyepisode that aired before the series took a small break starting October was “Juricksic Mort”, which more significantly also saw Rick finally repair his portal gun that had been absent until then. Thus, it’s safe to sayRick and Mortycould be back to their old ways when the show returns on November 20, with the threat of the evil Rick Prime looming somewhere in the multiverse.

The brief 30-second preview posted byAdult Swimappears to feature scenes from at least two or three different episodes to the tune of Twisted Sister’s “We’re Not Gonna Take It”, including some aquatic scenery that might suggestMr. Nimbus could return toRick and Morty, as well buzz of a potential nuclear war involving the Amish. More interestingly, the teaser also has the rare sight of Rick going to therapy, which suggests the character could be on the verge of some major psychological breakthrough moment in a season that’s already told fans so much about Rick’s past.
The other two prominent scenes see Morty going medieval for a swordsmanship duel and the pair hanging out with a new young bug-like friend that’s also seen getting into trouble later on. Much to the dismay ofRick and Mortyfans, there’s no sight of the Butter Morty that was added to the show’s opening sequence for this season, andthe same goes for theFortnite-ready armored Jerry, but there’s also nothing that can rule them out yet.
Rick and Morty’sseason 6 has seenthe show obtain consistently positive reviews after a tumultuous fifth season, with the added element of loose linearity in the story being something viewers can potentially look forward to any given week. Even more so, that’s been accomplished without sacrificingRick and Morty’sability to surprise fans with unique bottle episodes, such as the eerie Halloween-themed entry many fans loved.
Whether the 80s metal anthem has some bigger implications in the wayRick and Mortytackle the rest of the year remains to be seen. Regardless of that, once season 6 ends, fans can still look forward tomoreRick and MortyFortnitecollaborationsand anime coming straight from Japan in the future.
