TheResident Evil 4remake may feature an expanded story compared to the original, a new leak has revealed. Capcom has not officially confirmed that the remake is in development, but theoriginalResident Evil 4game director would support it.
In a series of tweets, prolificResident Evilleaker AestheticGamer revealed more information about the heavily rumoredResident Evil 4remake. The leaker said that the game’s story is one part of the game that the development team is “focusing on expanding greatly.”

It seems that theResident Evil 4remake will offer much larger changes to the story than the remakes that came before it. TheResident Evil 3remake left out a popular characterfrom the game’s ending, as Capcom had chosen not to offer multiple endings like the original. While this wasn’t a huge change, and the ending did stay close to one of the possible endings from the original, it was one that some fans found disappointing.
One “random” part of theResident Evil 4remake story revealed by AestheticGamer is that there could be more information about Dr. Salvador. Dr. Salvador is another name for Chainsaw Man, who is aResident Evilenemy. The enemy waves a chainsaw around, wears a burlap sack on his head, and is able to absorb bullets well. It seems that the remake could reveal what the enemy’s “deal” is.
Fans have been given another small tease about how theResident Evil 4remake story may change, from Capcom itself. In an interview published in May, it was revealed that theResident Evil 3remake changed Nemesisso that the enemy would be connected toResident Evil 4. Fans took it as a confirmation that aResident Evil 4remake is in development, but it may also have confirmed the leaked story changes.
However, fans shouldn’t expect more official information on theResident Evil 4remake for a while. AestheticGamer says that when theResident Evil 4remake leaked back in April, it was just “too soon.” Fans should “be ready to sit on this one for like a year until reveal,” said the leaker.
That may be disappointing for many fans who now want to know what story changes theResident Evil 4remake will offer them. What is positive though is that they haveResident Evil Villageand all of the official reveals for that game keep them entertained while they wait.
