InCall of Duty: Warzone, scope glint is used to warn players when a potential enemy is using a sniper rifle. This unique feature is a subtle way to balance out snipers by giving players a chance to dive for cover. WhileCall of Duty: Warzonefans have found ways to avoid being seen while sniping, a recent bug has removed the scope glint from a variety of rifles.
There areseveralCall of Duty: Warzonesnipersthat fans use in the battle royale environment. AfterCall of Duty: Warzoneupdated on April 6, the developers cleared up several bugs as well as nerfing two dominating weapons. However, the update broke several factors, includingModern Warfare’sSniper Rifles, causing them to have no glint. This was originally discovered by YouTuber JGOD, and any rifle using the Variable Zoom scope no longer has a glint. Considering the popularity of this scope, this immediately has become a problem for players.
Raven Software has updated theCall of Dutydeveloper Trello board, marking a card with the problem. The card reads, “Players are reporting that some/all IW8 (Modern Warfare/Warzone’s engine) sniper scopes no longer have glint,” and it is currently bearing an investigating label. It may not be long before the developers implement a patch, fixing this issue sooner rather than later. While the exact date is unknown, many fans are watching the Trello board for updates regarding this issue.
There are several updates from the Trello board expected to come soon toCall of Duty: Warzone. One prominent fix is the RC-XD’s position on the Buy Station list, which has been causing problems for many players attempting to buy a different item. With theCall of Duty: Warzonesnipershaving no glint, a fix may be implemented within the next patch alongside other persisting issues.
Despite their speed in acknowledging this problem, the developers have still not noted theCall of Duty: WarzoneBullseye reticle bug. With this bug causing entire games to be unplayable, it is interesting that Raven Software is prioritizing a smaller glint issue. Still, it is good to see that persisting problems are being resolved among the developer’s ever-growing list of bugs and glitches.
