PS Plus Free Game for April 2024: LittleBigPlanet 3

WhileLittleBigPlanet 3was available on PS Plus back in February 2017, that’s been seven years. It’s not necessarily common to feature a repeat, but it’s not uncommon either.LittleBigPlanet 3has plenty of reason to return, not least of which is the fact thatSackboy got a new game in 2020and may have some new fans who haven’t played it. On top of that, cozy games have increased in popularity over the years, and while it may not be considered a traditional cozy game, its emphasis on creation, sandbox gameplay, and puzzle-platforming elements ensures that it’s ultimately a relaxing game to sit down and vibe with.

PS Plus Free Game for April 2024: Haven

The cozyness ofLittleBigPlanet 3would pair well with the drama of the indie adventure RPG,Haven, which is about two lovers defying the odds and finding a new home for themselves. Players get to explore a new planet, face enemies, customize the gender ofprotagonists Yu and Kayto make it more relatable, and focus on more mature themes thanLittleBigPlanet 3. Both are also humorous, though to different degrees. Similar toIt Takes Two, co-op is supported so it’s a great game to play with a spouse or significant other, but unlikeIt Takes Two, it’s playable solo if need be.

PS Plus Free Game for April 2024: Chants of Sennaar

Alongside or in lieu of those titles,Chants of Sennaarfeels like a game destined to come to PS Plus eventually. It could perhaps be seen as too early to do it in April, since the game came out in September 2023, but PS Plus has surprised in this regard before.Chants of Sennaarreceived a lot of praisefor being a unique indie game, as its puzzle gameplay and minigames revolve around translating fictional languages, akin to the Tower of Babel myth. It’s a lot of fun with plenty of intrigue among the various tribes, and it only feels like a matter of when, not if, it comes to PS Plus.
