During one of the main quests ofPrince of Persia: The Lost Crown, you must look for “ANew Time Power” sealed behind a gate in the Sacred Archives. To access this item, you must first unlock the gate by solvingfour Shadow-based puzzles known as the Sacred Archives puzzles. This guide explains how to quickly overcome this challenge and retrieve the Time Power.
How to Solve the Sacred Archives Puzzles
To solve the puzzles in the Sacred Archives area,you need to overcome obstacles using your shadows. Each room allows three runs, with each run capturing your moves as a shadow. Employ each run to solve a puzzle piece, unlocking the path to the golden tablet before your final attempt.
Here are step-by-step guides for all four puzzles.
First Gate Puzzle (Bottom Left)
After interacting with the sacred statue,wall-jump to the right and pull down the lever. Stay there until the time runs out. In the second run,do the same for the lever on the left. Finally, grab the gleaming tablet from the room on the left. (You will have four seconds to complete each run.)
Second Gate Puzzle (Top Left)
In the second room, use your first run tocreate a clone near the grappling lever on top. Follow the parkour path and press L1 (LB on Xbox/Switch) just before the time runs out. At the beginning of the second run, press L1 again to appear in the same location. Leap onto the platform in front andstand on the pressure plate to open the gate. Finally, get intothe unlocked roomand grab the shining tablet.
Third Gate Puzzle (Bottom Right)
In your initial try,pull the lever on the right for six seconds. Before the time elapses, leap onto the middle pressure plate and remain there for the remainder of the run. On the second attempt,pull the left lever and stay there. In the final run, navigate the parkour course to reach the top and collect the golden tablet.
Fourth Gate Puzzle (Top Right)
Start by activating the bottom floor’s pressure plate. Before the time runs out,step off the plate for a second and then step back on it. In the second run, get into the unlocked room in the middle and pull the lever. But before you run out of time, jump down andcreate a clone on the platform—next to the opened gate.
In the final run, wait for that one-second gap you created in the first run. Once the gate is closed during this window, teleport to your shadow and follow the path to the top to grab the tablet.
