How to Catch Combee in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
Combee can be found in many areas around southern Paldea, includingSouth Province Areas One, Two, and Four, as well as West Province Area One. Combee tend to live in forested areas and around trees. Here is its Pokedex habitat page:
Alongside its appearances in the wild, Combee also has a slim chance of appearing in one-star Tera Raid battles. Players cannot routinely find one-star raids after reaching a certain point in the story, but they can be found in the Poke Portal regardless of how deep into the game the player gets. However, Combee is one of the dozens of different Pokemon that can appear in one-star raids, making a wild encounter the best way of catching it.
How to Evolve Combee
Combee evolves into Vespiquen at level 21, but only if it’s a female. If players have a male Combee, there is no way to evolve it.
Female Combees do not need to use any moves or hold any particular items in order to evolve inPokemon Scarlet & Violet. Unfortunately, there’s basically no point in keeping a male Combee in the player’s party. 87.5% of Combees are male, which means that players may need to do some hunting to find a Combee that can actually evolve.

Is Vespiquen a Good Pokemon?
Vespiquen is a generally weak Pokemon across forms of battle inPokemon Scarlet & Violet.Though there are some relatively tough prerequisites for evolving Combee, Vespiquen is largely meant to be an early-game Pokemon that gets cycled out in the middle stages of the game’s story, similar toPokemon from past generations like Beedrilland Beautifly.
What differentiates Vespiquen from other Pokemon is its unique attacks, with moves like Attack Order being exclusive to the queen bee. Unfortunately, these moves aren’t particularly strong, and Vespiquen has underwhelming stats and terrible Bug-Flying typing. Players ought to stop using Vespiquen before they encounter gym leaders like Iono in Levinciaand Larry from Medali, who have Pokemon that can hit it for super-effective damage.
