Others simply could not get the item-sharing feature to work despite it being presumably live. Meanwhile, there are other complaints about the game in general. Some Redditors have joked about how the item-sharing update was not announced publicly by Niantic, whereas thecurrent Rediscover Kanto game event inPokemon GOwas met with less-than-positive reactions. While no game will be able to fully please its entire fanbase, andPokemon GOwill certainly not do that anytime soon, the fact that there are still over 80 million active players is a testament to how its formula still works despite any poorly received changes.
