According to Niantic, three and five-star Shadow Raids will have bosses that may become enraged during battle, leading to even more damage output that could prevent them from catching the shadow Pokemon. To access these new raids, players won’t be able to use remote raid passes, they won’t reward a team bonus, but purified gems fromPokemon GO’s Professor Willowmay help weaken the shadow Pokemon to make catching them a little simpler.While Team Rocket is taking over many raids on May 22, it’s currently unclear how long the criminal in-game organization will maintain such a strong presence across the AR map.
