Between the release of mainlinePokemontitles like the upcomingPokemon Scarlet and Violet, fans discuss amongst themselves which parts of the series are good and what’s more forgettable. OnePokemonfan has started a discussion about the most forgettable Legendary and Mythical Pokemon that has garnered a wide mix of responses.

Reddit user UnoLaLaLa recently asked thePokemoncommunity which Mythical or Legendary Pokemon has been the most forgettable over the years. Some of these Pokemon have been prominently featured in thePokemonmoviesthat have been released over the years such as Mew and Mewtwo in the first one or Latios, Latias, Rayquaza, and Hoopa inHoopa and the Clash of Ages. While the Legendary and Mythical Pokemon included in the movies and the games may continue to be remembered by many fans, some of the onesPokemonfans bring up to UnoLaLaLa have been overlooked.

Leaving things open for discussion, UnoLaLaLa stated thatPokemonfans could use any sort of logic like “design, stats, lore, implementation into games, anime, any other media” to justify their choice of Legendary and Mythical Pokemon. Among the Pokemon included in the conversation include Enamorus, Hoopa, Keldeo, Heatran, Magearna, Meloetta, Melmetal, Phione, Urshifu, Victini, Volcanion, Zarude, Zeraora. Some Pokemon fans noted entire generations that had lackluster Legendary and Mythical Pokemon, with multiple gens noted between Gen 5 and the current Gen 8 which includesPokemon Sword and ShieldandPokemon Legends: Arceus.

Although manyLegendary and Mythical Pokemongot multiple votes in UnoLaLaLa’s post, somePokemonfans took to the replies to defend their favorites from others that see them as forgettable. Some Mythical Pokemon that had defenders are Celebi, Hoopa, Meloetta, Melmetal, Phione, Volcanion, and Zarude, while the Legendaries Cresselia and Heatran also had fans protecting their honor. Given that so many Mythical and Legendary Pokemon can be acquired through events, long-timePokemonfans have been able to add them to their party without developing much of a connection with them like when they’re caught in the wild.

Each of the Mythical Pokemon featured inPokemon Sword and Shieldis noted in UnoLaLaLa’s post which may suggest that fewer fans are discovering the end-game powerhouses compared to earlier games. VariousPokemonplayers noted the event Pokemon as reasons they’ve forgotten about Legendary and Mythical Pokemon, whilePokemon GO,Pokemon Unite, andPokemon TCGplayers shared that their games reinvigorated some of the aforementioned Pokemon. Given that Game Freak has confirmed moreLegendary Pokemon forPokemon Scarlet and Violet, thisPokemonlist may get longer with each generation.
