While thePokemonseries contains nearly 900 Pokemon, some are rarer than others, such as Legendary Pokemon. This select group is reserved for some of the most powerful and often difficult-to-find pocket monsters in the franchise. However, those lucky enough to discover them are rewarded with a Pokemon that is often very effective in battle. One of these Legendaries found in thePokemonseries that is quite recognizable by fans is Lugia.

First seen in Gen 2, Lugia is aPsychic/Flying-type Pokemon. In addition, it is a Legendary and the game mascot ofPokemon Silver,Pokemon Soul Silver, andPokemon XD: Gale of Darkness. With a large white body and a pair of enormous wings, it is understandable why this dragon-like Pokemon has become popular with many gamers. Recently, one fan attempted to see what this beautiful pocket monster would look like in a piece of impressive albeit unusual artwork.
