A creative and artistically talentedPokemonfan is catching the attention of hundreds of fellow enthusiasts for their impressive drawing of a past Paradox form of Garchomp. The fan-designed Garchomp variant has a plethora of otherPokemonfans complimenting the design, with many of them making comparisons to another popular video game franchise.

First introduced as part ofPokemon’s fourth generation, Garchomp is a dual-type Dragon/Ground Pokemon, in addition to being a pseudo-legendary. Evolving from Gabite at level 48, Garchomp is the final evolutionary form of Gible, although it can also Mega Evolve into Mega Garchomp when exposed to Garchompite. While the latest in thePokemonvideo game series doesn’t currently include the possibility,Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s rumored return of mega evolutionswould make Garchomp virtually unbeatable.

The ancient Paradox form of Garchomp in question comes from the artist Xezeno, who posted their impressive custom creation onto one of the mainPokemonpages of the popular forum site Reddit. The fan-made Garchomp retains some of the original version’s design elements, including the color scheme, while altering quite a few others. For example,Garchomp’s intimidating draconian naturetakes precedent in the design, with its tail and limb fins much more pronounced, as well as heavier use of gold along the chest and spiky neck frills. Along with appearing quadrupedal, the Paradox Garchomp features a substantially thicker overall build.

The unofficial past Paradox form of Garchomp is certainly popular with otherPokemonfans, with the post racking up over 500 upvotes within just a few hours of posting. Many of the fans echo similar sentiments regarding the drawing, with the general consensus being this version of Garchomp would be extremely intimidating to face, and that it looks like something from theMonster Hunterseries. Comparisons to Rathalos, Tigrex, Barioth and more pepper the post’s comments section, and for good reason: Xezeno often makesMonster Hunterart, and has previously createdaMonster Hunterversion of Garchomp.

While many of Xezeno ‘sPokemondrawings may draw design inspiration from theMonster Hunterseries, the artist does come up with some impressive - and wholly original - designs themselves. The artist recently createda futuristic mecha version of Koraidon, creating a uniquely paradoxical future version of an already-ancient Paradox Pokemon.

While thePokemonfandom is full of artistically talented individuals, some fans may have equal passion, but lack the artistic skill for such creations. However, Garchomp fans can still show their love for the character, asa massive official Garchomp plushhas been recently released.
