Summary

A craftyPokemonfan has recently created a ceramic plate based on the Normal/Fairy-type pocket creature Jigglypuff. Given thecute pink color and round shape that Jigglypuff has, it seems like the perfect Pokemon to use when making functional pieces that can be used in someone’s home and dining spaces.

This is not the first time that this particular fan has made ceramic pottery projects themed after Pokemon. After a hiatus on their content creation, the crafter recently shared how they made a working fountain inspired byGen 1’s Water/Psychic-type Slowpoke. And after sharing that they grew up on thePokemonanime’s Ash and Pikachu, it seems appropriate that their next project will be another pocket creature from the Kanto region. This time, the subject of their next ceramic pottery content is the Balloon Pokemon Jigglypuff.

Uploading a new process video on their YouTube channel, sculptor andPokemonfan Amii Tsang, or Amii Ceramics, shared how they hand sculpted the Jigglypuff ceramic plate that they made. They used another bowl as a guide to determine the size of the plate, and eventually filled in all the details in ceramic clay. They shaped out Jigglypuff’s iconic swirly hair and pointy ears, even adding the Pokemon’s small arms to the side of the plate. After baking the plate in a kiln, they painted it in a pink shade similar to the pocket creature’s body color before putting in details like its big blue eyes, happy mouth, and the black triangles to differentiate its ears.

At the latter end of the video, the content creator shared snippets of their attempts to makePokemon-themed cookies. They explained that when they posted about theirfunctional Slowpoke ceramic fountainon Reddit, the community seemed to enjoy the slice-of-life footage they added into the process video. This footage included their initial attempts to make cookies based after Slowpoke, which had ended up looking a little wonky. Nevertheless, fellowPokemonfans seemed to have reacted positively to Tsang’s baking skills, which encouraged them to share more of their adventures in the kitchen alongside their pottery projects.

Given that Tsang is posting their content more frequently nowadays, fans should expect to see more of their ceramic and baking projects in the future. Even though they seem to focus more on thefirst generation of Pokemonfor now, fans are probably hopeful that they branch out to otherPokemongenerations. The community would likely love to see pocket creatures from the more modern generations as ceramic figures or household items.
