A creativePokemonfan has shared a fanart combining Cyndaquil and Buneary. ThePokemoncommunity is always very creative when it comes to producing fan art, and this one shows fans what a fusion of the two characters would look like.
The Generation 2Pokemongames introduced the world to the Johto region, wherePokemon Gold and Silverare set. Beloved by many veteran players, Johto introduced several new characters including three new starters. One is the energetic Water-type Totodile, the other is the sun-loving Grass-type Chikorita, and the third is the gentle Fire-type Cyndaquil, which has already beenimagined as a Pokemon of another type. The same generation also introduced the friendly Normal-type Buneary, which evolves into the also Normal-type Lopunny. A creativePokemonfan decided to combine the designs of Cyndaquil and Buneary, and the result is a cute show that will melt the hearts ofPokemonfans.

The user that goes by GeekySAgirl shared on Reddit a fanart that shows the adorable result of the combination between Cyndaquil and Buneary, whoreturned inPokemon Sword and Shieldvia DLC. The artist kept Buneary’s original design, including the ears - one stretched and the other folded, which are used to attack opponents. Cyndaquil’s design was successfully incorporated through the character’s colors and the red circles on Buneary’s cheeks. Another important detail that has not been forgotten is Cyndaquil’s flames, placed on the tip of Buneary’s ear.
With over 170 upvotes on the officialPokemonsubreddit, GeekySAgirl’s art was praised by commenters. The combination of Cyndaquil and Buneary did not receive a name from the artist, or what the types would be. Considering the types of characters that inspired the fan art, however,Pokemonfans can imagine something like a Normal/Fire-type Pokemon. Fusions between characters in thePokemonworld are something common within the community. The great creativity of fans creates varied combinations between characters in the franchise, and outside of it.
