InPokemon Brilliant DiamondandPokemon Shining Pearl, the latestPokemonremakes, players will eventually get the chance to capture someLegendary Pokemon like Mespritand Cresselia. However, these two Pokemon are known as Roaming Pokemon and cannot be found unless players use the Marking Map app on the Poketch. This screen will show the current location of the Roaming Pokemon, but their position will shift whenever players enter a new area, such as a town or a Route.

To make things even more difficult, once eitherLegendary Pokemon is encountered in the tall grass, they can run away at the start of the encounter, which is where the move Mean Look comes into play.Mean Look is a Normal-type move that makes it so the opposing Pokemon is unable to run away from the battle, making it super useful for encounters with Pokemon like Cresselia and Mesprit and other Pokemon that tend to flee immediately, like Abra.

Learning Mean Look from the Move Tutor

In some cases, players might end up missing out on the Mean Look move by not teaching it to a specific Pokemon when it reaches a certain level. If this happens,Pokemon BDSPplayers can visit the Move Relearner at Pastoria City. By going to his home, he’ll teach Pokemon old moves that they’ve missed out on –unfortunately, he won’t do it for free. To learn a move, players will need togive him one Heart Scale. Once players do it ten times, he’ll start to teach moves for free.

Players can get Heart Scales inPokemon Brilliant DiamondandShining Pearlby searching Routes 212 and 214. They can also be found by mining in the Grand Underground, and theWater-type Pokemon Luvdischas a small chance of holding a Heart Scale.
