In addition to the main storyline, players will find plenty ofside missions and activities withinPersona 5 Royal, some of which offer rewards for completing them. One such activity is a Batting Cage, where resourceful players can smash home runs if they have a bit of luck and good timing.
Where are the Batting Cages in Persona 5 Royal?
With a bit of free time, players can opt to head to the Batting Cages to hit some baseballs. Thankfully,Persona 5 Royalplayers won’t have to travel too far, as the location is located right within Yongen-Jaya, down the road from Cafe Leblanc.
However, players will need to clean the shelf in their room at Cafe Leblanc three times before they gain access to a special book called Yoncha Walker 04. Reading the book grants some knowledge, but it unlocks fast travel options to the Bathhouse and Batting Cages.

Hitting Home Runs in Persona 5 Royal
Persona 5players should ideally go to the Batting Cagesat night as they’ll be able to play for as long as they want and eventually, they’ll get multiple options to pick from including Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert, Insane, and The Fader. Each one is tied to pitch speed, so players should pick the option they’re most comfortable with. Also, it’s worth noting that first time players will only have the Beginner option available, which sets the pitch speed to 43 MPH.
Regardless of which difficulty is selected, there is no easy way to hit a home run, though there are two tricks to keep in mind that can raise the odds.

Tip 1 - Bat Position
When the pitch is coming, players will see an icon of the ball’s eventual location. The best thing to do is to position the bat, so it is slightly under the ball. Doing so will add more lift to the ball, as hitting it more towards the top will cause it to stay low in a line drive.
Tip 2 - Timing
The other thing to keep in mind is when to swing the bat. Players will need to swing the bat right when the ball arrives at the icon on screen. Swinging early hits the ball to the left, while a late swing will push it to the right. Perfect timing will be down the middle and if the bat is positioned well in the tip above, the chances of hitting a long ball become much greater. In fact,theP5protagonist Jokergoes into a battling stance animation when the pitch is thrown, so watching his movement could also help in getting the perfect timing down.
Some players indicated that playing on Advanced difficulty also seems to make hitting home runs a little easier, perhaps due to the increase in pitch speed. While it’s unverified, it could be another option for those having trouble.
Home Run Rewards
The Batting Cages are a good spot toraise Joker’s proficiency social statisticand achievement hunters will need to stop by to earn Batters Up for scoring a hit.
However, players can also unlock special prizes for performing well in the Batting Cage. Players can earn theHome Run Hitter award for the Thieves Den areaby hitting 30 home runs in total which awards 60 P points. Each difficulty has its own prizes that players can earn by doing specific things.
For example, hitting three home runs will get the player a Batting Coupon, allowing them to come back during the day. The No Miss Prize is awarded for getting five consecutive hits, while the Home Run prize is earned for hitting the target. Here are the prizes:
