The last time Blizzard showed off anything substantial aboutOverwatch 2, it revealed new looks for Baptiste and Sombra. The next timeOverwatch 2will get the spotlight is during the Overwatch League Grand Finals on September 25, at which point Blizzard will how it is reworking Bastion and Sombra for the sequel. To tide fans over until then, Blizzard has given fans a sneak peek at Bastion’s new look.

While the details of Bastion’s rework have yet to be revealed, fans can get a glimpse at how the divisive DPS character will look inOverwatch 2. It seems Bastion inOverwatch 2will look mostly the same as he does inOverwatch 1, but with a new paint job and a hat that may hint at him being involved with Torbjorn. Bastion’s bird friend that he met during hisOverwatchanimated shortis still with him in the sequel, with his shoulder painted to match the bird’s coloring.

Blizzard didn’t give any hints aboutBastion’s rework, but it will definitely be interesting to see since he’s been such a controversial character in the hero shooter. In the meantime, Sombra is also getting a rework forOverwatch 2, and that will also be on display at the Overwatch League Grand Finals. Sombra has been a counter to Bastion for ages in the originalOverwatch, so that may be why Blizzard chose to reveal their reworks at the same time.

Those tuning in to the Overwatch League Grand Finals on September 25 will be treated to more than just Bastion and Sombra reworks. An exhibition match ofOverwatch 2in action will also be on display, which sould be one of the best looks that fans of the hero shooter have gotten of the game to date. These updates will come as part of theOverwatch League Grand Finalspre-show and during the big game’s half-time show.

It seems that many characters on theOverwatchrosterare getting reworked forOverwatch 2, a necessity born from the fact that the game is dropping from six players per team to five. TheOverwatch 2team composition will consist of two DPS characters, two Support characters, and one Tank character, and that has necessitated big changes to many characters in the game. Some of the otherOverwatch 2characters that will reportedly getting reworks or rebalanced are Brigitte, Doomfist, and Tracer.

Of course, theOverwatch 2Tank heroeswill especially be getting changed since having one Tank per team will make the role significantly more important. Blizzard has already explained a potential Reinhardt rework inOverwatch 2, though it remains to be seen how the game will be changing the other Tank heroes on the roster.

Overwatch 2is in development for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
