AnOverwatch 2player captures an impressive play which features them wiping out the entire team with Roadhog’s Whole Hog Ultimate Ability in just a few seconds, thanks to the added benefit of Kiriko’s own Ultimate Ability. As the latest addition toOverwatch 2’s diverse hero roster, Kiriko has become one of the most popular Support heroes among players since she launched along with the game in early October, her Kitsune Rush Ultimate Ability proving to be a crucial tool during team fights.

Kiriko’s popularity likely stems from several aspects of her design. Aside from her appealing kit of abilities, high-damage kunai which reward precision damage, and versatile Ultimate ability, it’s also likely that her high pick-rate is due in no small part to her place in the meta during the latest season of the Overwatch League. Professional players gave fans a taste of what Kiriko is really capable of during the Grand Finals, showing that even a single well-timed Kitsune Rush could change the course of a game in the last second. Sinceher debut in the world ofOverwatch, fans have experimented widely with Kiriko’s different utilities, and how her Ultimate Ability could be combined with other hero’s abilities to pull off some insane and unexpected plays.

A clip on Reddit provided by the user Slackman0000 perfectly showcases just how effective some of these Ultimate combos can be. Playing as Roadhog,a character who has received a couple of slight tweaks with the launch ofOverwatch 2, the player can be seen using the hero’s Whole Hog Ultimate Ability while pushing into the front lines just as Kiriko uses her own Ultimate Ability from behind. The significant enhancement to firing speed and overall damage allows the player to cut through enemies in seconds, while also improving knock-back and even shredding through an enemy Reinhardt’s shield. As no Roadhog clip would be complete without, the player uses their hook to catch the final fleeing enemy, before finishing them off and earning a team kill.

Clips such as this are an excellent demonstration of howOverwatch 2’s heroes work the best when different players combinetheir abilities. There are plenty of other combinations that work just as well with Kiriko’s Kitsune Rush, with recent clips featuring just how quickly Soldier: 76 can mow down an enemy team when powered up by both Ana and Kitsune Rush at the same time. In fact, one combination was even nerfed a few weeks ago, a change which reduced the firing speed that Zenyatta was capable of with Kiriko’s Ult.

With the powerful new tank hero, Ramattra, being added to the game alongside Season 2 in just a week’s time, many in the community are debating how the tank meta might change in the coming weeks.Blizzard recently revealed Ramattra’s ability kit, which has gotten players excited to see how he performs in battle.

Overwatch 2is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
