Cosplayer Kamui Cosplay has shared a new build, commissioned by Square Enix, to show off some of the armor design from the recent titleOutriders. In addition to the new armor, this cosplay also incorporates aGrim Marrow prop Kamui Cosplay builtearlier this year, before the game officially launched.

Kamui Cosplay is best known for a series of high quality builds over the last several years, including multiple Aloy builds fromHorizon: Zero Dawnand a number ofMonster Huntergear sets. In comparison to some of the cosplayer’s previous work, thisOutriderspiece is slightly less elaborate, though it certainly does still involve an expert level of detail to really bring the gear to life.

This new cosplay aims to recreate the Spacetime Pioneer set, a relatively earlyarmor build inOutriders, that acts as the primary gear for most of the promotional material around the game. The gear set itself is both on the cover art of the game and appears in most trailers as the outfit of choice for the “default” player character in these previews. So, it made for an obvious choice when Square Enix commissioned an IRL set of armor from Kamui Cosplay, considering that it’s one of the more iconic looks of the game, aside from the legendary gear.

So far, Kamui Cosplay has only released a quick video showing the processes of creating the Spacetime Pioneer set over the course of a sped up sixty seconds. It gives fans a quick idea of the detailing that went into bringing the outfit to life, from sewing individual pieces, to giving the clothes a worn look like how they appear in the game. The addition of the Grim Marrow, one ofOutriders’most iconic legendary weapons, also helps to bring the entire build together for the final glamour shot of the short video.

Altogether, this is an impressive cosplay build, with a high attention to detail on making sure that the outfit looks like it belongs in thein-gameOutridersworld. There might be more to come in the form of more media posts from Kamui Cosplay involving the creation process of this build as well, such as a more detailed how-to on the cosplayer’s YouTube channel, or more high-quality photoshoots of the final product. For now, fans can appreciate the quick clips that show off the build and have a couple cameos from Kamui Cosplay’s adorable little corgis.

Outridersis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
