There was something for everyone in theNvidia GeForce Now leaks that occurred earlier this week. Leaker Ighor July on Medium was able to unlock GeForce Now, Nvidia’s game streaming service, revealing a list of dozens of games, including unannounced original titles by gaming’s greatest developers, as well as ports of console exclusive games. July stipulates though that the games shown should not immediately be considered as in development because the database includes entries from a large time period, meaning the listed titles could be old, cancelled, or just be testing data for new, unrelated games. Nonetheless, it’s hard not to be excited when games likeFinal Fantasy 9 RemakeandTactics Remasteredappear there.
With all of this potential information out on the internet, it was only a matter of time beforeNvidiamade a statement following its massive GeForce Now database leak. While the list of games shown in the leak are exciting for fans, Nvidia may have some disappointing news for those hoping to see a confirmation for some of these titles in the future.

WCCFTech reached out to Nvidia following the Geforce Now leaks, and its response is a safe one. In the remarks, the Nvidia spokesperson proceeds to debunk the leaks, stating, “Nvidia is aware of an unauthorized published game list, with both released and/or speculative titles, used only for internal tracking and testing.” The response goes on to specify that the list should be taken as “neither confirmation nor an announcement of any game,” Nvidia clearly distancing itself from the leaks. Part of the leak saw massivePS5 exclusivesReturnalandDemon’s Soulscoming to PC, which now seems too good to be true.
In the second part of its response, Nvidia continues to cover its tracks. Promptly following the leaks, “Nvidia took immediate action to remove access to the list,” preventing it from being perpetuated further. The Nvidia spokesperson also clarifies that “no confidential game builds or personal information” were released in the leak. A surprising title to appear in theGeForce Now leak wasHalf-Life 2 Remastered, which in hindsight, likely has as much chance of coming out asHalf-Life 3does.
Although Nvidia’s statement does not necessarily stop the chances of any of these titles actually releasing, as data of these projects or projects related to them are there, it is hard to be optimistic following these remarks. As amazing as it would be to already know aboutKingdom Hearts 4and aChrono Cross Remaster, there is just no certainty that the listings are actually what they say they are. If Square Enix wants to use theNvidialeaks as a launching board and announce them, though, then it should definitely do so.
