Without a doubt, many are still reeling from the delays ofRedfallandStarfield, but it’s also important to remember that it’s not all bad news. Microsoft and Bethesda have both heavily hinted thatStarfield,if not both games, will be at the upcoming Xbox and Bethesda Games showcase. Withgameplay ofStarfieldlikely to be there, fans will at least see the game this year. That’s more than a normal Bethesda game release at this point, and that’s more than fans have had for this entire hype train.

Of course, there will be more thanStarfieldat the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, and hopefully, Microsoft will be able to recover from this setback. In the meantime,Starfieldhasn’t been the leakiest ship out there, but there have been quite a few leaks in general. Now, a new image gives fans another look at the game.

Not too long ago, five images leaked online claiming to show a2018 build ofStarfield. Everyone knows how much a game can change in development though, so those images may be a decent baseline, but there weren’t current and certainly won’t be at release. This image, while unknown, is simple enough that fans can expect to see it in the game, although it is just a door.

As seen above, it seems an image of aStarfielddoor has leaked online. There’s no real context provided for the leak, nor any real information on the leaker, so fans should take this one with a grain of salt. That said, if someone is going to post fake leaks online, they would likely do something a little more exciting than a door.

That door, of course, has gotten about 100 comments on theStarfieldsubreddit so far. Many, many jokes were made about the door, but some important questions were raised too, such as whether players can open the door or not. Even thoughStarfieldis an open-world game, those still sometimes have doors that cannot be opened, and that can be a pet peeve/quirk for some gamers.

Either way, perhaps fans will know for sure if this is what aStarfielddoor will look like next month. It’s also worth adding that aformer Bethesda employee recently leaked a fewStarfielddetailsprior to the delay, indicating one was possible at the time and suggesting that there would be in-game flight mechanics, standard shooting, and more. They even said the game maybe even had an overabundance of content at this stage, as Bethesda works to polish it, refine the content, and “find the fun.”

Starfieldreleases in early 2023 for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
