It is without a doubt that NetherRealms Studios' Mortal Kombat 11 is one of 2019’s biggest fighting games that is still popular today. Now, the studio announcedan upcoming post-launch story expansionfor the game calledMortal Kombat 11: Aftermath, which is set to release digitally on May 26th. The DLC will be re-introducing Klassic Stages in the game, which is something that fans have been asking for ever since the release ofMortal Kombat 11last year.

In the announcement released byMortal Kombatpublisher Warner Bros. Interactive, it has been revealed thatMortal Kombat 11players will have access to new stages withAftermath, including the return of the Klassic Dead Pool and Soul Chamber arenas. Additionally, these new stages will also be accompanied by Stage Fatalities, which are fan-favorite finishing moves that allow players to use the environment to decimate opponents in the most brutal way possible.

The good news is, althoughMortal Kombat 11: Aftermathrequires a separate purchase that will cost players $39.99, the Stage Fatalities and the popularFriendship featurewill be available for free to allMortal Kombat 11players, with or withoutAftermath. Additionally, NetherRealms Studios is also offering a bundle to newMortal Kombat 11players, which combinesAftermathwith the previously released Kombat Pack 1 for $49.99.

To the uninitiated,Kombat Pack 1 introduces six new fightersinMK11’s roster including Shang Tsung, Nighwolf, Terminator T-800, Sindel, Joker, and Spawn. Additionally, Kombat Pack 1 includes a number of premium skins together with six themed skin packs that include the popular Klassic Arcade Ninja Skin Pack, and Klassic Arcade Fighter Pack among many others. Kombat Pack 1 by itself is usually priced at $39.99, so newMK11players are better off taking the deal that includes Kombat Pack 1 andAftermathin one sweet package.

Apart from the free features that will be available to allMortal Kombat 11players whenAftermathis released, players who will purchase the upcoming DLC expansion will receive three new playable characters that include Fujin and Sheva both of which will be added to the player’s roster, andthe rumoredRoboCopwho will serve as a special guest star. Interestingly enough,RoboCopwill be played by actor Peter Weller who portrayed the character in both the original 1987 film and its sequel,RoboCop2, that was released in 1990. As of the moment, no other DLC characters were announced by NetherRealm, but players can expect three new character skin packs to be included inAftermath.
