It’s been confirmed thatMortal Kombat 1will be featured at San Diego Comic Con, with series creator Ed Boon teasing the game’s appearance at the big show. The panel on July 21 will include Boon himself, other members of the development team, voice actors, and surprise guests. While Comic Con is focused on pop culture at large, its roots are in the comic book industry, and so a leading theory is that the panel will see the announcement of some comic book-related characters for the game’s lineup of guest fighters.

Mortal Kombat 1 Leaked DLC Characters

Amazon leakedMortal Kombat 1’s DLC characters, confirming six characters that are supposedly coming to the game post-launch. These includeMortal Kombatfranchise characters Ermac, Quan Chi, and Takeda, but it also apparently includes three different comic book characters. Assuming theMortal Kombat 1DLC character leakis accurate, fans can look forward to Homelander fromThe Boys, Omni Man fromInvincible, and DC Comics' Peacemaker all appearing in the fighting game as part of its first Kombat Pack.

None of these DLC characters have been officially confirmed just yet, but the official TikTok account forThe Boyshas outright said thatHomelander will be inMortal Kombat 1. However, even if all three of these comic book characters are a part of theMortal Kombat 1DLC lineup, it doesn’t necessarily mean that their announcement will come at San Diego Comic Con, so fans should keep their expectations in check.
