What Is A Nargacuga In Monster Hunter Stories?
The Nargacuga is aFlying Wyvernin the game. Its in-game description reads, “Flying Wyverns that are fearfully fast when hunting prey. They are particularly adept at moving stealthily.” These Monsties have amazing speed (in fact, they are some of the fastest ones in the game). They also have a decent attack, which makes them perfect for those who want to deal damage fast. The Monstie has a Speed Tendency, which makes sense considering its speed. It also has strengths against Water Elements, but is weak against Thunder ones.

How To Find A Nargacuga In MHST
The Nargacuga is found in thePondry Hillsarea, which is one of the first places players will go. However, it is one of the toughest Monsties there, so they should be careful and not try to take it on until later on in the game. In order to get one, players will have to make the Monstie retreat so that they can follow it back to their den. In order to do this, players need to use the Paintball Gun to shoot it within 3 turns of defeating it or trap it. Once that is done, they can follow it back to the Monster Den andfind one of its eggs.
For players who have theDen Protectorskill, they will be able to have a higher chance of making it retreat. This skill specifically increases retreating chances. The picture above shows what the Nargacuga eggs look like.
