Mass Effectfan art has been plentiful as of late, with one player sharing some particularly cool posts on Reddit. The fan’s character posters take clear inspiration from the movieDune, using the same style to show theMass Effectcast some love.
TheDunecharacter postersfeature a clean, minimalistic style, with the actor’s name listed in small text above their character’s name. A close-up image of the character’s face is seen in the background, while the movie’s tagline and release date are placed at the bottom. Reddit user xam3l kept this same format, swapping the movie title with theMass Effect: Legendary Editionlogo. They also used each character’s title as the large text, with their real names being seen in the small text above.

The original lineup ofDune-inspiredMass Effectpostersfeatured 13 different characters, and 13 more posters have been released in this same style. A few depict characters that were featured in the last set, such as EDI and Liara. This time around, EDI is shown from the back, while Liara is obscured in darkness to fit with her role as The Shadow Broker. Jack also returns, with her long-haired look fromMass Effect 3being captured this time around. However, this collection also shows off several characters that were not seen in the last set.

Love interest andloyal companion Talilooks great as “The Mechanical Genius,” with the Quarian looking off to the side. Some nice reflections can be seen on her helmet, while the angle makes her suit stand out. Mordin the “Salarian Scientist” can be seen glancing down, showing the intelligent character in deep thought. Some villains also get some love, with a neat black and white shot of “The Matriarch” Benezia and “The Rogue Spectre” Saren seen. Nyreen “The Huntress” also makes an appearance in the fan’s latest collection of art.
Jacob “The Operative” appears, with Commander Shepard’s ally shown looking over his shoulder. Samara “The Asari Justicar” can be seen looking upward in a regal manner, while a profile view of Javik “The Last Prothean” looks great. The final two posters are particularly stunning, with Kasumi “The Master Thief” looking amazing against a pitch-black background. Finally, there is thefan favorite companion Grunt, with the young Krogan seen fighting. The close-up on “The Tankborn” provides a nice look at the texture work on his skin, with the armored fighter only looking better due to the lighting used for the image.

Not only does xam3l do a terrific job paying homage to Dune with these posters, but they are all made using cutscenes and thephoto mode fromMass Effect: Legendary Edition. With the fan clearly mastering the feature, these posts prove just how much can be accomplished with a well-made photo mode feature.
