Shepard takes on enemies like Sovereign and Harbinger without needing to fire a single bullet at them. Shepard’s not one of the best because he’s purely a perfect model of a combatant. Rather, he’s one of the best because he can win a fight against beings that are invincible against conventional weaponry.

Add the Thorian to the list of creatures that are completely invulnerable to bullet fire. On top of this immunity, it’s commanding a colony of thralls, a legion of warriors, and an elite biotic unit that revives every time it is killed. The fight is long and one of the most strenuous battles in the entire trilogy; dying can send players back a long way to do the entire thing over. Take some tips and make this a one-shot, one-kill situation, even on Insanity.
Gearing Up For The Fight
It’s time to bust out the big guns (quite literally).Sniper rifles and shotguns are great herebecause they physically knock down enemies, which is strong against all of the minions that Shepard will face. Sledgehammer and Hammerhead mods should also be equipped to maximize weapon force. There is a particular mechanic that, when used, feels almost like an exploit, and movement via weapons is the easiest way to do it.

As far as teammates go,seriously think about bringing along Liara and Wrex. Equip them both with the suggested weapons and mods, but keep in mind thatthey both have biotic abilities that can push enemies off a cliff. Much like the weapons, these kinds of biotics will be useful. Liara, in particular, should have herSingularity maxed outfor the biotic enemy.
Defeating The Thorian
Thorian Creepers look and sound a lot like Husks. They both have lots of life, move to melee range, then either use a single-target physical swipe or area of effect ability. However, Husks can’t be interrupted when casting their deadly blasts once they’ve started.Thorian Creeps can be interrupted with a melee attack or biotic interrupt.

The Thorian Creepers have tons of life and can take a while to kill, but melee attacks, force weapons, and biotic abilities will all move these enemies. There is a convenient cliff where the Thorian Creepers stand.Knock the Thorian Creepers off the clifffor faster kills so they can’t overwhelm the crew.
The biotic represents a unique problem because she can cripple the entire team. On Insanity, this is a death sentence, because two hits from a Thorian Creeper and it’s all over.Use Singularity (or another biotic ability) on her and kill her while she is disabled. Like the Thorian Creepers, knocking her off of the cliff will work just fine.
Save in between waves. The enemies might seem endless, but they are not, and players will get a chance to save during these moments.Don’t feel any urgency to destroy the neural nodes that attach the Thorian to the walls. A little bit of damage will awaken a Thorian Creeper. Doing a slight amount of damage, then killing a Thorian Creeper, then doing another sliver of damage makes for a safe rotation.
