Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix continue to demonstrate that their largest priority withMarvel’s Avengersis to appease fans with particular cosmetics.Marvel’s Avengers' latest skin cosmetic offered fans theirfirst MCU outfit for its iteration of Spider-Man, which is likely only the first of many that players can expect.The live-service title continues to receive persistent fixes and updates whileplayers eagerly awaitMarvel’s Avengers' next roadmap. The hooded and masked Ronin outfit made its first MCU appearance inAvengers: Endgame, where a disconsolate Clint Barton takes to the streets as a vigilante to eradicate organized crime during the Blip. This vengeful pursuit is only seen briefly inAvengers: Endgame, but has offered more merchandise and inspired cosmetics for the character as a result.
Further, Barton sees the consequences of his actions in Disney Plus’Hawkeyeseries, where the Ronin outfit returns as part of an auction before Kate Bishop steals and dons it for a period of time.Marvel’s Avengers' Kate Bishop has only received one outfit from her MCU counterpart, but it is possible that may be rectified later on if Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix have aplan for the rollout of MCU cosmetics. For now, the spotlight has been cast on yet another Hawkeye skin, which seems to have been effectively written out from the MCU for at least the foreseeable future.
But even if the MCU has shelved the costume for now, it has been reprised forMarvel’s Avengersalongside the more comic-accurate Ronin outfit that players already have access to for Hawkeye. Indeed,Marvel’s Avengers' Hawkeye has received many MCU cosmetics, with the MCU Ronin outfit added now as the fifth. This outfit in particular equipped Hawkeye with the retractible sword he wields and is suitably a primary weapon of Hawkeye’s inMarvel’s Avengers.
More cosmetic outfits may please a lot of fans, though there have also been a lot of wishes shared from players who want more characters to play as inMarvel’s Avengers. It is currently undetermined whatMarvel’s Avengershas planned for its future content, but fans may always anticipate outfits associated to the MCU.
