The mod was originally released in 2015 but was eventually taken down. An NPC that looks exactly like Fred Durst is funny enough, but the cherry on top is how the NPC only speaks in Limp Bizkit lyrics. When a player interacts with Fred Durst, he replies with portions of Limp Bizkit songs, and its over-the-top absurdity is a hilarious extra layer added toNew Vegas. Strangely, this isn’t the first time a mod has paid tribute to Limp Bizkit, like oneDoomplayer’s tribute to Fred Durstand his respective nu-metal band.
Although many fans are hoping for aFallout: New Vegasremake, the game’s strong modding community has helped keep the RPG alive and well. Thanks to the work of these fans, there is still plenty of fun content to add to an already great game. The Fred Durst mod might be ridiculous, but it’s a fun relic that has thankfully been restored.
